We don’t use the term world-class lightly, but when describing our expert and experienced trainers, it’s justified. Not only are they up-to-speed with the latest science, but they’re passionate about building our fun and unintimidating culture. And because we don’t use freelancers, and our permanent personal trainers stay for the long-term, you get the consistent care and support you need.

PERSONAL SPACE

Your general health and well-being are as important to us as your physical fitness. Therefore giving you ample space in which to train is part of our commitment to maintaining a safe gym environment. In every one of your personal training sessions either within a group or on your own, you’ll have a minimum of 150 square foot to yourself! Think of it as your gym within a gym.

WHY THIS WORKS

With small group of no more than six, you get a similar level of attention as one-to-one but with a fun and inspiring group dynamic. It’s feeding off other like-minded members that spur you on and on. It’s also more flexible and the less expensive option, allowing you to make the most of the other parts of your membership. Everything is wrapped up together in one effective results-driven package.

CHRIS & KELLY

CO-FOUNDERS

Chris has 24 years experience in the fitness industry with personal experience in competing in powerlifting, body building, and becoming the Super Human Games Champion and Multiple International Indoor Rowing Championship Gold Medals. Kelly has a career background in fashion and has an eye for details. Helping with the original vision of the epic rowing concept upstairs and club refurbishments.

JAMIE

COACH

I have been a trainer at Engine Room since the launch of small group personal training. Before becoming a trainer, I worked in performance analysis for Saracens RFC and Brumbies RFC in Australia. I absolutley love coming into Engine Room every day because seeing our members progress in both their strength and fitness is incredibly fulfilling and I feel very lucky to be part of so many peoples fitness journey! You won't miss a minute of my sessions because if you're late, expect some burpees...

MEMBERS RELATIONS

My job is to make sure all our members are looked after plus if they have any questions or queries, I'm your first point of contact. My door is always open if you fancy a chat and if you bring me an oat chai latte then you will be in my good books! I've worked at the Engine Room on and off since 2019 whilst studying Musical Theatre. My way of keeping fit is to dance however, with the help of Chris and Jamie I've been able to add so much more to my training. My favorite session here is definitely the Small Group Personal Training; you get so much out of the session and those are the ones I enjoy the most.

TESS

NUTRITIONIST

Tess is passionate about enriching other people’s lives, educating them on the value of good nutrition, expanding on her unique story. She has a liver disease known as Biliary Atresia and uses this experience to show people how to change their past habits and create new ones for the future.. As a fundamental part of your journey every new member has a consultation with Tess to start their journey with us and help support you with your nutrition. Tess has constructed a step by step approach to fat loss, muscle gain and performance to support your journey to amazing results. Tess is also on had to help support current members via our 6-Week Challenges.
