Our small group personal training model allows us to provide expert coaching within a positive and friendly environment.

Whilst we do have the best in class personal trainers, it’s in fact our community of like-minded, supportive people with a genuine care for helping members that makes us the best at what we do.

We understand that everyone’s goals are different which is why we built our gym around personal training!

We don’t believe in one size fits all… personal training is at the heart of what we do and we thrive off building a personalised and progressive approach that works best for the individual.

It’s no secret that big commercial gyms are intimidating and probably the last place that you’d like to go after a busy day with the children or working. THE ENGINE ROOM is built around our members, and our mission is to support and guide them every step of the way through their health and fitness journey.

Start with our 21-day experience and get all this

1-2-1 EVALUATION

To start your 21-Day Experience you'll meet with our Head Coach to discuss in detail your goals and set some starting metrics. You'll get chance to experience working out in the studio and get a 'feel' for how the space works and get comfortable. You'll also get a movement screen and strength testing to help you choose starting weights for your shared personal training sessions. We can take a non-invasive body composition assessment and discuss a nutrition plan in detail.

9 x SHARED PT SESSIONS

After your 1-2-1 evaluation you can then book your 9 x small group personal training sessions around your lifestyle. Train when suits you and at a level that is right for you. Our coaches are on hand to help you with your technique, choosing the right exercises that you personally need and also directing the correct weight choices with tweaks and cues to help intensify your workout

CONDITIONING CLASSES

We also offer Conditioning classes. This involves a combination of cardio and functional exercises to help compliment your Strength sessions. This will help to build your fitness.

NUTRITION PACK & PLANNING

Depending on your goals we will send you either our 'Fat Loss,' 'Muscle Gain' or 'Performance' nutrition support packs for your trial. Included in this is advice on how much to eat, meal prepping, calorie's explained, meal plans and recipes, snacks and check points.

GYM USE

Want to top up your sessions with extra training? Well this means you can access our gym on the ground floor at anytime. If you'd like extra advice on what to do then just let us know and we will advise you on what to do.

If you want the best rowing experience or class you have to go to the Engine Room near Regents Park. Try it yourself or with some friends for a competitive session. Take your business team for some bonding or challenge your client for some relationship building. They will love it and its such fun Just ask for Chris the most experienced guy in London for leading edge fitness training that's different and fun . Dropped into one of The Engine Room rowing classes at the weekend. As an Olympic Rower (92/96/04) I found the coaching of the rowing stroke was first class, and the workout had all the elements of a proper hard rowing training session. Highly recommended Niall O'Toole OLY

I have just completed my 30 day Trial and it’s clear that Chris and Jamie take a genuine interest in getting the very best results for their clients. In addition to a well equipped – and spotlessly clean - gym floor, we also had access to a superb rowing studio; Chris is a world class indoor rowing competitor and his enthusiasm for the sport is infectious, creating a fantastic atmosphere underpinned by solid technique coaching. Yoga was also included in the Trial - Hannah’s relaxed, practical classes were cleverly focused on mobility work to support our training needs in the gym. Engine Room provides an elite level of training but in a friendly, family run, welcoming environment. I would thoroughly recommend the 30 day Trial and I look forward to returning as a member!

The Engine room is a fantastic bespoke gym which combines excellent training and indoor rowing coaching alongside creating a really warm and inclusive sense of community. I have towed there for a few years however started the small personal training classes a few months ago. My fitness, strength and confidence have improved massively and I have made a lovely group of friends.

I have been a member at The Engine Room since they launched the Small Group Personal Training. It’s fantastic value for money, especially with the level of coaches they have (unlike some gyms). I have never known another gym where you get such a lovely environment as well individualised coaching and result tracking. I can honestly say, everyone here is so friendly it’s like an extended family to me. When I joined I had a bad shoulder and they coordinated directly with my physio, writing personalised programmes, and they applied the information to the small group sessions!

Where to start? I love this place.!! The Small Group Personal Training is literally the best thing I’ve ever done. The coaches are some of the best qualified in London and on a 121 basis I wouldn’t have been able to afford, but the small group membership has made it possible for me and it’s become part of my daily routine. `I lost 9lbs in the 30 day trial! I’ve met some great people and love training together, it motivates me to go what is now pretty much daily!
